Tips on finding the right partner. Aimed at myself first and foremost. Never look for just a pretty face and hot body, they will turn old one day. Look for a loyal heart filled with iman and god consciousness, who practises modesty and will sacrifice for you, in order that you can hold each others hands and walk towards heaven, not the hell fire. For those who have been unable to be with those they want to be with, the first step to acceptance is the ability to understand it has not been decreed.
The best way to mend a broken heart is to give Allah the pieces.
Our Spouses have been decreed, we only have to fix our relationship with god, and they will come. However passed thoughts may still come to mind, the reality of moving on can overwhelm some. People move away not because you want to but Allah decrees, for he knows what is written for us best.
The Quran says "... and Allah is the best of planners." We just have to trust him, return to him, and steer clear of what he has forbidden, he is the best of planners <3 "The believers, men and women, are protectors of one another..." so find a spouse that will protect you from haram, a spouse that will respect you when you give them an Islamic reminder, a spouse that if you tell her "don't flirt with others" they will listen!
An islamic obligation on the woman is to obey her husband when he makes a demand that will protect her!
Tips for men: The prophet (s) said: "A women is normally sought as a wife for her wealth, beauty, nobility, religiousness (adherence to islam), but choose a religious girl and you will prosper." SubhanAllah! And one of my favourite Hadith: "the whole world is a provision, and the BEST object of benefit of the world is a pious women." Why deny yourself the best thing in life, a pious wife, over any other girl.
Last point for the sisters: "the prophet (s) said that the best of men are those who treat their wives the best." Choose a man who is religious, who will help with housechores (like prophet muhammad [s]), so that together you will live a happy life in tranquility and peace.
